My recipe scans aren’t working properly.

Our scanner uses OCR, which can sometimes struggle with blurry photos, handwriting, small text, folded pages, or unusual recipe layouts. You can always review and edit recipes before saving.

Why are some ingredients missing after scanning?

Recipes are formatted in lots of different ways, so some ingredients may not be recognised perfectly. If this happens, edit the recipe before saving.

Smart Suggestions isn’t showing the recipe I want.

Suggestions are based on your ingredients, household preferences, dietary notes, and favourites. Try updating your kitchen items or choosing different household members.

My shopping list looks wrong.

Shopping lists are built from your recipes and kitchen items. Check recipe quantities, serving sizes, and what is already marked as in your kitchen.

Can I use OurCookbook without an account?

Yes. OurCookbook does not require an account.

Is my data shared?

OurCookbook does not sell your data. Your recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, and household details are used to provide the app’s features.

The app crashed. What should I do?

Please email support with your device model, iOS version, what you were doing, and screenshots if you have them.

How do I add someone to OurHousehold?

Go to Profile, then OurHousehold. From there, you can add household members, favourites, dislikes, dietary notes, and preferences.

Can I edit recipes after saving?

Yes. You can edit recipes after saving, including ingredients, steps, notes, serving sizes, and other details.
